Dan Savage and his husband came up with a project to try and give some hope to all the LGBTQ high school kids being bullied for who they are. The project is called "It Gets Better Project" and the point is for LGBTQ grownups to do via internet what they never can in real life. Talk to the kids and tell them their lives will get better, high school will end. 

Here is a video Dan and Terry made, and if you can contribute with a video of your own, that would be awesome. If not, you can do what I did and spread the word. I think if a project like this doesn't get to live, then the Internet has failed at its existence.

You don't do this shit. You just don't. There's absolutely no fucking reason why your Jensen and Jared NEED to be fucking in Nazi Germany. There isn't. And I don't care if I'm "censoring" you or "silencing" you. You suck and I'm ok with hurting your feelings. 

 I started a community. It's called triggerfic and its main purpose is for people with triggers (and phobias) to come and ask if certain fics are safe to read. 

I'd appreciate any input before I start pimping it around because I'm afraid of offending people I don't want to offend.
Just someone to look it over for me and make sure I'm not insulting anyone or am wrong about anything. I can, sometimes, be pretty cold and detached, and since triggers aren't my favorite thing in the world I'm afraid I might be doing that here.

Could that show be any more racist? I was pissed over their portrayal of Mexico in S2 but I thought maybe the show was doing that "it's from his point of view" thing so it made everything more gross than it needs to be, but now, in S3, there was a black nurse taking care of him for a day and she was so stereotypical (amongst other things she was "sassy," barged through his house with no respect for his privacy, threw away the list of his phobias basically telling him to grow up because "yo!" and then was sassy some more) it hurt. 

In another scene they wanted to say some guy might be gay (because he looked like he was, not even touching that one) but they just couldn't make themselves say the word (if you say it you might catch it, I guess) so when Monk had no idea what they were talking about they gave up on trying to explain, rather than saying the actual word.

Also, I'm not sure is that's ableism or doctorism but apparently none of the educated and trained medical professionals in the San Francisco area has EVER seen a person with OCD before and they are all just so perplexed as to why a person would want to do things in a certain order (when even I who can't tell apart flu from a common cold would think, "hm, that's a bit OCD"). But no, THEY don't understand why he can't just ignore his compulsions. WTF?

This show started in 2001, that's not exactly the 90's climate any more.

Am I the only one who thinks Tony DiNozzo of NCIS is totally fucking annoying? His constant need for attention and approval, his bashing of those in a lesser position as well as nerd-bashing (borderline bullying if you ask me), his (or Weatherly's) attitude, like any second now he's about to say something really important and we should all listen. Reminds me of Caruso. Bleh.

OMG so there's this movie, title in the title :D  It's in spoken Swedish and subtitled in French so watching it will be interesting but I'm gonna try to get it anyway. And maybe I get lucky and find it with English subs, I'll let you know.
It's about this gay couple, that, if I understand well, wants to adopt. And they get a paper saying they can get a kid, Patrick, who is 1,5 years old. Except apparently the comma is a mistake and they get a 15yo instead :) 
And then of course there's homophobia with some neighbors and  one of the cutest scenes ever, when the gay guy leaves their house pissed, he kicks their flowers, and then feels bad about it and re-plants them. *smishes him*

Sexual Assault Prevention Tips Guaranteed to Work!

1. Don't put drugs in people's drinks in order to control their behavior.

2. When you see someone walking by themselves, leave them alone!

3. If you pull over to help someone with car problems, remember not to assault them!

4. NEVER open an unlocked door or window uninvited.

5. If you are in an elevator and someone else gets in, DON'T ASSAULT THEM!

6. Remember, people go to laundry to do their laundry, do not attempt to molest someone who is alone in a laundry room.

7. USE THE BUDDY SYSTEM! If you are not able to stop yourself from assaulting people, ask a friend to stay with you while you are in public.

10. Carry a whistle! If you are worried you might assault someone "on accident" you can hand it to the person you are with, so they can blow it if you do.

And, ALWAYS REMEMBER: if you didn't ask permission and then respect the answer the first time, you are committing a crime- no matter how "into it" others appear to be.
